How often should I have my hearing checked?

Hearing loss often happens gradually, making it tricky to notice. We recommend having your hearing checked every two years from the age of 40 onwards to catch any changes early. At Bollington Hearing Centre, we offer free hearing screening or a comprehensive hearing and communication assessment to keep your hearing health in check.

How much will the hearing aid cost?

Buying a hearing aid isn’t just about the device itself; additionally there is the the expertise of the audiologist and advanced tests. Our hearing aids range from £1,095 to £2,195 per aid, with a five-year warranty, batteries, unlimited aftercare, and earwax removal included. We also offer a 6-month interest-free payment scheme to suit your budget and lifestyle.

How long will the hearing test take?

Our full hearing and communication assessment typically lasts between 60-90 minutes. It involves discussing your needs, performing tests, and demonstrating recommended solutions if necessary.

Do you offer a trial period and returns?

Yes, we provide a 30-day trial period for new hearing systems. If you’re not satisfied, we’ll work with you to find a better solution or refund your payment if returned within the trial period.

What does the manufacturer’s warranty cover?

The manufacturer’s warranty covers repairs due to faults for up to five years from fitting. However, it doesn’t cover accidental damage or loss, which we recommend insuring through your household contents insurance.

Can you fix my NHS hearing aid?

While we’ll try to help, we usually don’t handle NHS hearing aids.

Do you provide home visits?

Yes, we offer home visits. Wax removals are £60.00 with a £40.00 call out fee (£100.00 in total). For home visits which may require the purchase of hearing aids, we charge £40.00 per visit to maintain and adjust the aids as well as otoscopy.

I have private hearing aids from elsewhere. Can you look after them?

Yes, as long as you provide proof of prescription by a qualified audiologist, we can offer a full assessment and adjustments, cleaning, and follow-up for £195.00
