Are you considering getting a hearing test?
Answering the following questions can give you insight into any potential hearing difficulties:
- Do you often feel like others are mumbling or not speaking clearly?
- Do you struggle to understand conversations, especially in noisy environments?
- Do you find yourself turning up the volume on the TV or radio, yet still struggle to hear?
- Do you frequently ask people to repeat themselves?
- Do you feel tired or stressed after listening for long periods?
- Do you avoid social gatherings due to difficulty hearing in noisy settings?
- Have friends or family commented on your hearing?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to two or more of these questions, we recommend a comprehensive hearing and communication assessment with one of our experienced Audiologists. This assessment will identify the nature and extent of any hearing loss.
We will then see if a medical referral is necessary, and explore the best intervention options, such as wax removal and/or hearing aids.
During your assessment, you’ll have the chance to discuss your concerns, understand your specific hearing loss, and explore potential solutions. We even offer trial periods and demonstrations of our hearing technology, so you can experience firsthand the improvements it can make to your daily life.

Untreated hearing loss can significantly impact various aspects of your life:
- Communication: It becomes challenging to stay connected and communicate effectively, leading to difficulties in following conversations, especially in noisy environments. This can be exhausting and frustrating.
- Community Engagement: Untreated hearing loss may hinder your ability to remain active in the community, as it becomes harder to engage in social activities and gatherings.
- Health Risks: Studies have linked untreated hearing loss to cognitive decline and an increased risk of dementia.
- Emotional Well-being: Hearing loss can contribute to feelings of isolation, leading to mental health issues such as depression and loneliness.
Listening to the television, radio, and using the telephone can become less enjoyable and more challenging due to hearing difficulties.
Addressing hearing loss through appropriate interventions, such as hearing aids or other treatments, can significantly improve quality of life and overall well-being.
